How can I get a tattoo from you?

Go to my booking page, follow the booking guidelines to be added to my wait list.  It's just that easy! 

Can I book an appointment over the phone or email?

You can book a consultation online by going to my booking page or by phone.  All tattoo appointments require $160 non-refundable deposit which will be collected at your consultation appointment.  We will schedule appointments in person during the consultation as well.  Out of town clients may contact me via phone or email to work out deposit and scheduling arrangements.

How much will my tattoo cost?

The cost of a tattoo depends on a number of variables including size, placement, style, complexity, color or black and grey, etc.  Therefore, it is nearly impossible to give an accurate estimate of cost over the phone or email.  I have a $160 minimum and charge $160 per hour, but to get a proper estimate of the cost of your tattoo you will have to consult with me in person.

Does getting tattooed hurt?

In short, yes.  The process of getting a tattoo can be a painful one, however everybody's pain tolerance is different.  Some people may find being tattooed on a certain area of their body to be extremely painful, while others may find getting tattooed in the same exact area almost pleasant.  The fact is that, while all tattoos hurt, the pain lasts no longer than the process itself and so shouldn't deter you from getting a tattoo and getting it where you want on your body.  While the pain is temporary, your tattoo will last forever.

How soon can I get tattooed by you?

Due to the large volume of requests that I receive, I book my schedule in blocks.  Each block is filled a month prior to its start, so the sooner you get on the wait list, the sooner you can get tattooed.   Large scale, custom work may take a little longer to schedule due to the amount of drawing, but most tattoos can be scheduled within a few weeks of your consultation appointment.

What should I bring to my tattoo consultation?

In order for us to get the most out of your consultation you should first have a clear idea for your tattoo.  While I am fantastic at bringing your ideas to life, I can not read minds.  Know what you want.  You should also bring any reference materials you have to help illustrate your idea.  Keep in mind that unless your tattoo is a replication (such as a logo or a portrait) I will not directly copy the images you bring, especially if the image is of another tattoo.  The final thing you will need to bring to your consultation is a $100 deposit.  This deposit will be required to secure your appointment and will protect your artist's time preparing your tattoo.

How should I prepare for my tattoo appointment?

First and foremost, get good sleep the night before your appointment and make sure you eat a good meal before you come in.  Coming in tired, hungry or hung over is a sure way to have a tough time getting tattooed.  Being properly fed and rested is the best way to be prepared for getting tattooed. 

Don't wear your best clothes.  My focus is putting ink under your skin and sometimes that ink can end up on your clothes.  Wear something comfortable that provides easy access to the area getting tattooed.  Don't wear your brand new skinny jeans if you're getting your leg tattooed and don't wear your favorite white button down shirt if you want a tattoo on your arm.

Other things you may want to consider bringing to your appointment would be light snacks or a drink.  We will always offer our clients water and there are a number of great places to get food in our neighborhood, but having something on hand to quickly eat during a break is always a good idea.  Not all clients like to carry on conversations while they get tattooed, so sometimes a distraction, such as an iPod or electronic book, can be helpful.  Just don't bring anything that requires much movement, as it's not easy to tattoo an arm when it keeps moving to turn the page of a magazine, etc.

Can I see my design before my appointment?

Due to the busy nature of my schedule, I am usually not able to show you your design before your appointment.  I will have your artwork ready to tattoo at the time of your appointment.  If there are any changes that need to be made to the design, they can be made at that time. 

In some cases, such as with large scale work, we may schedule subsequent consultations before scheduling any appointments, in order to make sure the design is ready for tattooing.

Can my deposit be refunded?

All Deposits are non-refundable.  I require a $160 deposit to secure your appointment.  Aside from securing your appointment, the deposit also protects my time spent preparing your tattoo design in the event that you cancel your appointment last minute or decide you no longer want the tattoo.  If you must cancel your appointment we require at least 48 hours notice in order to transfer your deposit to your next appointment.  Any cancellations made with less than 48 hours notice will result in the forfeiture of your deposit.

I am under 18. Can I get tattooed with my parent's consent?

No.  I do not tattoo anyone under the age of 18. No exceptions.

Can I bring somebody with me?

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, clients are no longer allowed to bring a companion with them.  I will allow only the person getting tattooed to enter the shop.

Can I pay with a credit card?

While cash is always the preferred method of payment, I do accept credit card payments. Checks are not accepted.

Should I tip my tattoo artist? How much?

Tipping is not required to receive my best work, however if you would like to add a tip for your tattoo it is always very much appreciated.  While the topic of "how much" varies greatly, a good general rule is to tip like you would any other service. 15-20% is a good place to start.  No matter how much you tip, I will always be grateful and appreciative.

Do you do piercings?

No I do not.  I specialize in making tattoos.

Do you do temporary tattoos or henna tattoos?

No I do not.  I specialize in real tattoos.

How do I know it is safe to get a tattoo?

I take great care to make sure that the tattoo process is as safe as it can possibly be.  I use the safest equipment and inks available on the market.  All of my tattoo set ups for every tattoo consist only of single use needles and disposable tubes eliminating the need for sterilization of equipment in an autoclave.  Single use equipment means no chance for contamination during sterilization.  I also use only the best inks available.  All of my inks are vegan friendly and do not contain extra chemicals and ingredients used by lesser quality ink manufacturers.  I do not use any inks that I deem potentially harmful or unsafe, such as black light responsive inks or other cheap brands.

I take the health and safety of my clients very seriously, which is why just knowing that I use the best possible supplies is not enough.  I record batch numbers, brands and expiration dates for every session for every client to ensure swift response in the very unlikely event an issue does arise.

What if I have to cancel my appointment?

All cancellations MUST be made with at least 48 hours notice or deposits will be forfeit

All cancellations MUST be made either in person or over the phone.  You must actually speak to me.  Emails and DMs through social media are NOT ACCEPTABLE ways to cancel your appointment.  I don't receive notifications from everybody through social media, so I may not even get your message until it's much too late.  Any appointments cancelled through email or social media will be counted as a no-show and deposits will be forfeit.  If you call, leave a message and I will call you back to reschedule your appointment.
